## How does a StatesideIP dedicated mobile port work?

A dedicated port is one 4G/5G modem with a carrier SIM, rented by one customer.

1. **Choose a carrier and a rental** — T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon in the US, or Rogers, Bell or TELUS in Canada, for 1, 7 or 30 days.
2. **Pay in crypto** — BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, LTC or SOL. No ID, selfie or documents.
3. **Connect** — Use the host, port and login from your dashboard over HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5.
4. **Change the IP** — Call the rotation URL, or set a timer on 7-day and 30-day ports. The carrier assigns a new IP.

## Why do mobile IPs get blocked less often?

Mobile IPs tend to be blocked less often because one carrier IPv4 address is usually shared by many phone users. Carriers share addresses through carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT), and RFC 6598 reserves 100.64.0.0/10 for it. Cloudflare wrote in October 2025 that one public IPv4 address "may represent hundreds or even thousands of users". Blocking it would also block real subscribers.

This is a tendency, not a guarantee. Cloudflare also found that CGNAT addresses are rate-limited about 3× more often. A mobile IP can still meet CAPTCHAs, rate limits or blocks, especially at high request rates.

## T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon: which carrier should I pick?

Pick the carrier whose users you want to match; all three cost the same at StatesideIP. Network tests differ, as of October 2026:

- **T-Mobile** won 12 awards in Opensignal's January 2026 report, against 3 for Verizon and 1 for AT&T. Ookla named it the fastest US mobile network for H1 2026. It runs an IPv6-only network using 464XLAT.
- **Verizon** led Opensignal's 5G Video score (71.4), and Ookla named it the best network for coverage.
- **AT&T** had the highest time on network: 99.6%, against 99.5% for Verizon and 99.1% for T-Mobile.

- **[T-Mobile proxies](https://statesideip.com/mobile-proxies/united-states/t-mobile/)** — Network announced as AS21928.
- **[AT&T proxies](https://statesideip.com/mobile-proxies/united-states/att/)** — Mobile network AS20057 (AT&T Mobility).
- **[Verizon proxies](https://statesideip.com/mobile-proxies/united-states/verizon/)** — Cellco networks AS22394 and AS6167.

## Can I get a Canadian 4G/5G mobile proxy?

Yes. StatesideIP dedicated ports in Canada run on Rogers, Bell and TELUS, at the same prices as US ports. RIPEstat lists Rogers as AS812, Bell Mobility as AS36522 and TELUS as AS852. As of October 2026, ProxyWing lists Canadian ports at $10 per day and $145 per month. See [Canada mobile proxies](https://statesideip.com/mobile-proxies/canada/).

## Residential vs mobile proxies: which should I buy?

Buy residential proxies when the exact US place matters, and a mobile port when one stable carrier IP matters more.

| | Residential (per GB) | Dedicated 4G/5G port | Rotating mobile (per GB) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Starting price | $0.52/GB | $3.75/day | $1.50/GB |
| You pay for | Traffic | Time: 1, 7 or 30 days | Traffic |
| IP source | Home broadband lines | One modem with a carrier SIM | Many carrier modems |
| Finest targeting | ZIP code or ASN | Carrier | Country |
| IP change | Each request, or sticky with `ttl` | Link, API call or timer | Each request, or sticky |

*Prices checked on October 5, 2026.*

Verdict per use case:

- **Local SEO and price monitoring:** residential, because results and prices change by ZIP code. See [local SEO rank tracking](https://statesideip.com/use-cases/local-seo-rank-tracking/).
- **Ad verification:** residential for city or ZIP checks; a mobile port to see ads served to carrier users.
- **Social media management:** a dedicated mobile port per client brand, following platform terms.
- **Mobile app QA:** a dedicated port, so tests run on a real carrier network.
- **Large public-data jobs:** residential per GB, or rotating mobile when a target treats mobile traffic differently.

## How do I change the IP on a mobile port?

You change the IP with one HTTP request to the port's rotation URL, or with a timer. New IP on demand through a rotation link or API call, or automatically on a timer you set (minimum 2 minutes). The [mobile IP rotation guide](https://statesideip.com/guides/rotate-mobile-ip/) adds a Python script that waits for the new IP, and the [getting-started guide](https://statesideip.com/guides/getting-started/) covers first connections.

*Rotate a dedicated port with curl*

```bash
# Rotation URL format (replace {port} and API_KEY with your values):
# https://statesideip.com/api/v1/mobile/{port}/rotate?key=API_KEY
curl -s "$ROTATE_URL"   # ROTATE_URL = your filled-in rotation URL
```

## How do StatesideIP mobile prices compare with other providers?

## Mobile proxies: frequently asked questions

### How much does a US 5G mobile proxy cost per month?

A dedicated US 4G/5G port from StatesideIP costs $45 for 30 days, as of October 2026. Shorter rentals cost $3.75 for one day and $15 for seven days. Unlimited data on a dedicated port (fair use: one customer per modem, no resale). Proxy Tower lists $60 for 30 days (checked 2026-10-05).

### Do I need ID to rent a mobile proxy?

No. StatesideIP, a no-KYC US residential and mobile proxy provider, rents T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon ports without ID, selfie or documents. Account-number login; email is optional. You pay in crypto, and the port is delivered once the payment confirms. Mobile ports still follow the [Acceptable Use Policy](https://statesideip.com/acceptable-use/), and abuse ends the rental.

### Can I pay for a mobile port with Bitcoin or USDT?

Yes. Mobile ports are paid in crypto only: BTC, USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, USDC, ETH, LTC or SOL. Minimum top-up $25. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, but it is not refundable. The port is delivered once the payment confirms.

### Can I choose the city or state of my mobile IP?

StatesideIP sells mobile ports by carrier, not by ZIP code. The location a site sees for a mobile IP depends on the carrier and on the site's geolocation database. When a precise state, city or ZIP matters, use [residential proxies](https://statesideip.com/residential-proxies/) instead.

### Is there a free trial or refund for mobile ports?

No free trial — test with the 1 GB plan, paid from the minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance (never expires, non-refundable). For mobile, the shortest rental is a one-day port at $3.75, which works as a low-cost carrier test. A plan is credited back to your balance if you ask within 24 hours of purchase and used less than 100 MB, or if a mobile port cannot be delivered; the crypto balance itself is not refundable. The [refund policy](https://statesideip.com/refunds/) explains how to ask.

### Is it legal to use a mobile proxy in the US?

Using a mobile proxy is generally legal in the US and Canada; the use is what counts. Platform terms, anti-hacking law and anti-spam law still apply. StatesideIP allows agency account management, ad checks, app QA and public-data collection. This is not legal advice.

### How fast is a StatesideIP 5G mobile proxy?

Speed depends on the carrier, on 4G or 5G coverage at the modem and on your target. Ookla measured T-Mobile's median US download at 275.55 Mbps in H1 2026, but a proxy adds distance and load. StatesideIP publishes no speed figure it has not measured.

### Residential or mobile: which suits social media management?

A dedicated mobile port usually suits agency social media work better. It gives each client brand one stable carrier IP that changes only when you choose. A residential IP can drop when the home connection goes offline. Follow each platform's terms; see [social media management](https://statesideip.com/use-cases/social-media-management/).
